bahama cruisin

the last two weeks were almost as intense as the massive sandstorm we drove back to las vegas in last night. we dropped our baby boy/puppy off and headed out to ft lauderdale to cruise with d&m through the bahamas. get ready for a lot of pictures....no for real. a lot.

 ready...set...go

first day we literally cruised around the entire island on our awesome scooter the husband thought was a motorcycle. we ended up in a shady shady part of town, snuck over to atlantis for lunch, explored our favorite beach, jaws beach, found a market with diet dr pepper, and got  back to the ship in time for some sock hoppin.

they made me dress up as princess leia. the husband pulled stuff out of his closet and came up with this awesomeness. ha.

 the weather was amazing. the first time the husband and i have ever been on a cruise together, and it was quite the experience cruising with over a thousand d&m fans. all i can say is, we made a lot of new memories:)

we got to explore cococay for a few hours before i had to get back to judge the talent show. the water was beyond pretty. we kayaked and swam as much as we could with the little time we had. i think i would be ok if i got stranded on an island, especially this one;)

no joke. 

not one but two sting rays came right up to us. the husband of course tried to grab it. umm...remember steve irwin? luckily it was too fast and swam away. and then to top that off, a real live reef shark swam right in between us. i wasn't even afraid. i thought i would be, because any time i go surfing i won't even let my feet dangle off my board in fear of sharks. this one was just a little guy though.

utah weekends

we love our quick weekend trips up to utah. we get to take quite a few of them which makes living away from family a little more bearable. 

this weekend we got to go on some great hikes, celebrate birthdays, have some intense dance parties, visit friends, enjoy the snow, and spend time with our family all in a matter of 3 days.

happy love day.

i hope everyones valentines was full of love. 

we love celebrating love around here. the husband took us on our now traditional valentines hike out in red rock (it fit the theme since the hike was red rocks and pink sand). the rain and intense wind added to our little adventure. mowgli was in heaven.

we also went to the movie, the vow, but it was a little too cheesy for my taste...even though i hate to admit it, but i did cry in one part. hey, it was based on a true story. 

i came home to my new red bag, hundreds of i love you notes filled up inside, roses, and balloons. i love that husband of mine:) we spent the rest of the night celebrating in other valentine ways, but I'm gonna go ahead and spare you those details. 

let love rule.

we love it. not much more to say....

I'm back tracking a bit here....

the husband and i took our little pup to experience one of our greatest loves on this earth...

and it did not disappoint. 

camping against the shoreline, fire pit dinner, s'mores, roasted starbursts, and yummy hot chocolate...makes for a perfect weekend (minus the pouring rain that woke us the next morning).

happy new year

better late than never...happy new year! sorry its been awhile, i guess blogging was not that high on my new year's goals. dang it. this year is gonna be good though (i think i say that every year). we finally got situated back in good ole vegas. life with a puppy is so fun, hard, happy, and sometimes a bit tiring if you wanna know the truth. we love him to death, even though he chewed through my computer power cord... thats probably my real excuse for not blogging. they say exercise is the most important and number one thing (before discipline and even affection...what!) we need to do for puppy... you don't have to ask me twice. we have been taking mowgli on lots and lots of adventures.

arizona hot springs is one of my favorite hikes in this desert. we couldn't ask for a better hiking dog. he doesn't really know how to pace himself yet so by mile 4 he was struggling. we had to pack him out. ha.

we were getting a little antsy being home for a whole week. geez. we decided to take mowgli camping on the beach over the weekend. we packed up and headed to ca to a little beach called doheny. we camped right up against the shoreline. listening to the waves break....what better way to fall asleep?

i had to put in some climbing shots (courtesy of nathan l.). we have taken puppy on quite a few climbing trips the past couple weeks. he loves it.  i have the best hiking, climbing, swimming, adventure partner-dog that i could ever ask for:) 

it seems like my blog is being filled with only puppy pics. am i turning into a crazy dog lady, where all i can talk about is my dog, which i really think is a human?
