the husband left to utah to go get surgery. finally. stupid knee. i guess while he was under they fixed his shoulder too. thanks doc. why is my husband always getting injured? if i would have known he was so accident prone a few months ago i might have reconsidered....jk. jk. i love this guy. i cant wait until he gets all better so i can have my climbing/tennis partner back in action!!! poor guy.

 we got our boogie on with marie at the 38th annual daytime emmy awards. wahoo. it was such a fun night. i dont think it gets much better than performing for a live audience on live tv :) 

i love seeing all the behind the scenes. it always looks like madness but it is actually amazingly organized. everyone is running around during the commercial break and then the countdown comes back and it goes quiet. i love it. you'd be surprised by how many people it takes to pull off one of these .

                                            

after our break we came back to get ready for the show. the red carpet was a mad house. ashley and i were waiting in the lobby for the other dancers so we could go back to our dressing room. well we decided to walk ourselves down the red carpet and get some pix while we wait. i honestly have no idea who anyone in daytime is. i only recognized dr. oz. sad. someone yelled out vanna white!!! so i took a picture. it was actually quite embarrassing because everyone was in gowns and tuxes and we were the only two in sweats and tennis shoes. i guess they didnt care though because we had our badges? how embarrassing. 

it was such a fun night. i think my mom was more excited susan lucci was there than anything (who is that again?). she was already seated in the front row before i could get her autograph for you mom;) sorry. her dressing room was right across the hall from us though. does that count for anything?

vegas is too hot. the only way to beat the heat is to climb to the top of mt charleston. so thats what we did, and because we just love hiking anyway. 

its like the only mountain here in nevada that somewhat resembles the mountains from home. its nice to see color sometimes:) there is snow still on the mountains too. we went on a fun hike called trail canyon. straight up the whole way. 

its so pretty in the mountains. i think im going to live in them someday soon. 

i've been broken.

i never wanted to get into the whole blog world. we dont have babies (......yet) and we all know that blogs are only fun and interesting when babies are on them:) but i do love journaling and i do miss my family who all live in another state. boo. so....its just me and the husband. stuck together forever, and loving it.
