catch up

i am suppose to be packing.
all day i have been trying to prolong the inevitable. i just finished unpacking my suitcase and caught up on all the laundry yesterday. ugh. on the upside,  i will be packing for the UK! i cant wait. tour will be crazy, fun, and tiring, but what i really cant wait for is for the husband to get there. he doesnt come out until the last day of tour, but then we get to explore wherever our hearts desire.
uk, france, and belgium to be exact.
*i dont know how i am going to leave mowgli for so long. i will probably cry everyday*

Map of England

so while i am procrastinating, i thought i would blog about our winter in utah. we ended the donny and marie tour in slc. my home. i was so happy to finally do the show there. it was fun to have friends and family every night.

after tour i stayed for another two weeks. every chance i could i was with my mama, and when we weren't we were usually playing in the snow somewhere.

NYE

we had my nieces and nephews come stay at our hotel one night. we visited grandma and left the patients lots of get well notes:)
we took them to the beautiful temple square lights and got yummy hot chocolate and donuts. the girls even got to come to my show while the boys stayed at the hotel and had a pizza/swimming party.
fun times.

i also turned the big 26. i am so old. the husband took me cross country skiing for the day. it was a perfect day. my bff also surprised me with lunch, flowers, balloons, and more.
how did i get so lucky?

and now i will just leave you with 500 pictures of our snow adventures. not really, but close. we love utah. we love the mountains, rain or shine......or snow.
ps if mowgli could live in the snow he would.

two amazing places which have completely nothing to do with each other. 1) we stayed in a massive cabin up park city which was beauuuutiful. 2) we went to the provo temple during a massive blizzard. pretty.

our view of park city

sledding with this wild bunch was my favey. they are all wild. trust me. they have bruises, fat lips, and ice burns to prove it. it also might have had to do with the fact that mowgli thought anyone on a sled flying down the hill was prey and went into hunting mode. haha. so funny. it was his first experience sledding so we cut him some slack.

i love this guy^

happy winter

x.mas '12

i know its mid january and im just getting around to blogging about christmas. thats just how life has been going lately....too fast. i have been living out of a suitcase since thanksgiving, and have now finally unpacked and am currently laying in my own bed...sigh...my own bed! i have missed it. i only get it for a couple days so im spending as much time in it as possible ;)

anyway, back to christmas...

with a quick stop from la to vegas to pack up all of our christmas presents we were on our way. we were literally packed to the brim. poor mowgli. he is somewhere back there.

we drove through this to get to utah. ugh.

we got there just in time to celebrate xmas eve. my mom is currently in the hospital fighting the horrible cancer fight so we spent the night up there with her and a couple of my siblings. we got pizza and had a party....well as much as you can party on the 8th floor in the east wing;)

our x.mas miracle was being able to sneak my mama away from the hospital for a few hours. we watched the kids open up all their presents. christmas is so magical with little ones. it was also mowgli's first xmas with us since i got him exactly one year ago. we spent the day with my mom and also got to visit my grandma who was in the hospital as well (we are very accustomed to hospitals over here;)) and then spent the rest of the night with the husband's family.
a perfect. happy. day.

i love the traditions and the time we get to spend with our families during this time. i cant wait to pass some of these on my own some day. family is what its all about.

and this one....was exhausted from destroying his presents in about 3.5 seconds.

merry christmas.
