the week in atlantic city did not disappoint. first thing i did when we got there was put my feet in the ocean. duh.
the shows were great. the crowds were amazing. its always fun to perform in a different theater on a new stage.
changes things up a bit;)
i did not hold back on the room service. sometimes hotel living has its perks. obviously i have been watching the olympics nonstop. go usa.
i loved starting my day off with a beach run...i don't even like running anymore because my body always hurts, but how could i not when the beach is my backyard. saturday was my crazy day. i got up early for a 5mile run, did our matinee show, ran 3 more miles to some tennis courts with the drummer of my show, destroyed him in a friendly game of tennis (not...he's really good;)), walked back, and did our night show. my legs were beat. but oh so worth it.
sunday morning i tried to find a church, but it ended up being only spanish speaking, so i took church out to the bay on a paddle board with karl (another dancer in the show). we rented paddle boards from some guy that drove us in his broken down bronco to this cool bay. i guess we really trusted him because we left our bags, money, and phones with him and told tom (thats his name) to pick us back up by 1130 so we could make it to our matinee show. paddling around the bay was beautiful! (too bad i didn't bring my camera....i don't think iPhones and paddle boards go too well together though) we got back to dock at 1130...no tom insight. after 20 minutes we were getting a little worried...not too much though cuz we had 2 of tom's very awesome boards. tom was just a free spirit and not too articulate on time. he finally came and got us. we made tom drop us off at our hotel and made it just in time for our last show. few.
a.c. was nice but i am ready to get back to these two. i've missed them. bad. thank goodness for technology. seriously though. what did we ever do without facetime? ha.
